Overview of Educational Plans
We strongly encourage our patients to attend school on a regular basis. However, it’s important for you to know that CRMO can interfere with the ability to perform some academic tasks or functions at school. We recommend that students establish an education plan to address needed accommodations. Each country will have different types of accommodations and plans in place. In the United States, this plan is called a 504.
A 504 plan identifies accommodations for a student with a medical condition or physical disability to help prevent him/her from falling behind academically.
